2016 Babe Ruth Division Rules
Unless noted here, the Babe Ruth Division is governed by Babe Ruth League’s “Baseball Rules & Regulations and Official Playing Rules”
PLAYERS / SUBSTITUTIONS:
- During every game, each player present must play two (2) complete innings defensively and bat at least once.
- During the season, each player must appear in the lineup two (2) complete games.
A courtesy runner may be used for the pitcher and catcher. This runner must be a player who is not currently in the game. If nine (9) or less players are present, the last batted out may be used.
No new inning may begin after 1 hour and 50 minutes of play. In the event of a tie, extra innings may be played if time limit has not been reached.
Pitch count for the pitchers will be 85 pitches per game. (This will be strictly enforced)
End-of-season playoffs will be played under Babe Ruth Division tournament rules, including the rules for pitching, batting line-ups and substitutions. EXCEPTION: All players must play 2 defensive innings and bat at least once. EXCEPTION: Time limit applies, but 5 innings must be played.
